CIRCA ISLE OF MAN is a Manx Registered Charity (number 657) and a Company Limited by Guarantee (Number 097367C)

CIRCA (Centre for Information Resource Care and Assistance) was established in 1994 to provide assistance to Manx Charities. Incorporating an information centre on matters related to health and welfare, for the general public.

In the years since its formation CIRCA has developed a Shopmobility scheme, available from their offices in Douglas, together with a Database of Manx Charities. The Database contains information relating to Charities currently active on the Island. A paper copy is available from the CIRCA centre, alternatively the same information is now available from the Database page on this website

The CIRCA Volunteer Service is an integral part of the CIRCA philosophy and has the primary objective to work with and for Voluntary Organisations on the Isle of Man. Maureen Crawford and Hilary Yates CIRCA Centre Co-Ordinators are happy to meet with Volunteers to find them an organisation compatible and appropriate to their skills and interest.

It is clear that the majority of Charities and Voluntary Organisations on the island, experience a shortage of Volunteers.

Volunteering is a really good way to have new experiences, learn new things, meet new people and have fun. At the same time helping people in your Community.
